Riccardo Galeotti founded The Body Lab out of a profound desire to address the gaps he experienced firsthand in both his education and clinical practice. Early in his career, Riccardo realised that traditional approaches to treating pain and dysfunction were often surface-level, addressing only the symptoms rather than the root cause of movement issues. This approach left many clients with only temporary relief and little understanding of how to prevent recurring problems. For Riccardo, the missing link was clear: the real mechanics of how the body articulates during movement, particularly walking, were often overlooked in conventional therapies.
Driven by his belief that movement is medicine, Riccardo developed a framework that focuses on teaching both therapists and clients to unlock their full potential by understanding how bones, joints, and muscles work together in the gait cycle. This innovative approach, known as clinical functional biomechanics, empowers people to correct imbalances and prevent future pain, moving beyond the treatment table to take control of their long-term health.
